THE SIERRA LEONE COMMUNITY CENTRE
PROJECT
The idea of establishing a Sierra
Leone Community Centre in the UK has been welcome in the Diaspora and is
the theme for the INASLA 2008 almanac. The need to support such a
venture seems a great delight as noted by the financial contributions
sponsors are making to kick-start the project. Interestingly, Sierra
Leonean's and non Sierra Leonean's have taken the historic challenge to
fulfill this vision. However, funding is still needed to meet the annual
budget so efforts are on going to encourage more sponsors to make the
project successful.
The project is important for many
reasons including the need for individuals and groups to meet, discuss
and plan social and economic activities. INASLA firmly thinks that
through effective networking, we can participate and accelerate the pace
for social and economic development in our local environment and
subscribe to national and global programs. Also, we can work in
partnership with international agencies to help our poor folks in Sierra
Leone. Are you ready to act and achieve these benefits in 2008?
